Competition format

• 6 May - senior implements: Thursday brings together all athletes competing with senior implements. The day is structured around strong, evenly matched fields, providing both B and A competitions with excellent conditions for high-level performances and big results.

• 7 May - youth & masters: Friday is dedicated to youth and masters athletes competing with the implements specified for their respective age categories. Competitions will be held as mixed fields and may, if necessary, be divided into Mixed Youth and Mixed Masters.

• A, B and, if required, C fields: Competitions will be divided by performance level. Seeding will be based on season best performances from 2026/2027 achieved with senior implements, with the aim of placing athletes in fields of a comparable competitive standard.

• 6 attempts for everyone: Each group may include up to 10 athletes, and every athlete will receive 6 attempts. The format supports a smooth competition while giving athletes the opportunity to build through the series and chase a big throw.

• A competitions with an event atmosphere: All A competitions will feature live commentary and athlete introductions, while a DJ will create atmosphere throughout the senior-implement competitions. Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the men's and women's A competitions.

• Wind optimisation: In the discus and javelin competitions, we have the option of competing in two directions. The throwing direction can therefore be adapted to the prevailing wind conditions to provide athletes with the best possible conditions for performance. The final throwing direction will be determined according to conditions on the day.

• Implement weigh-in: Implement weigh-in will take place at the location indicated on the stadium map.
